“You will eat my cereal! Because, I will create a television commercial so attractive that you will not be able to resist ”. Irene Cerezo, a Spanish designer in an interview with BakerySwap talks about her journey into digital artistry.

Irene Cerezo is a Spanish graphic designer, web designer, and 3D designer who is passionate about photography and motion graphics.

Thanks for honoring our invitation. Please, can you tell us about yourself?

Sure, it is a pleasure that you have counted on me for this interview. My name is Irene Cerezo, I was born in Madrid (Spain) but I also have the Basque blood of my mother. Since I was little I have always said that I wanted to be an artist, but since I was always told that art is very difficult to earn a living, I decided to become a designer.

My phrase par excellence since I was 15 years old when I decided that I would be an artist and designer has been, “You will eat my cereals. Because I will create a television commercial so attractive that you will not be able to resist”.

I studied a design career in which I learned from costume design to web design and 3D. During my degree, I discovered that I was passionate about photography and motion graphics.

In my faculty, the Fine Arts degree was also taught, so I was immersed in a very creative environment that made me see the world that surrounds me in a special way. I will always be grateful for these years, thanks to them I began to be myself and to value my work.

I take this opportunity, if you allow me, to thank my photography teacher Rafael for his words “Irene, you must always do what comes out of your heart. May your projects carry a soul ”. Thanks to him, I always put my heart into all my work.

As a designer and now a digital artist, what are some of the challenges you have encountered so far and how did you overcome them?

I think all commissions are a challenge. Both customer orders and orders that you make to yourself as an artist. I think I’m my worst boss.

The key to overcoming all challenges is to research and study beyond the world of design. Inspiration can be found in the work of a waiter and in the work of a singer. The important thing is to keep your eyes open and exercise creativity every day. Creativity is not a gift but something that is learned.

There are many young people out there that want to be artists but they don’t know where to start. Can you help such people with the necessary things it takes to get started?

The main thing is not to give up and as my teacher said “always do things from the heart”. It is also continuous work. Not only learn tools, techniques … You also have to work on yourself. Understand who we are, our weaknesses and strengths, and above all what really motivates us and makes us happy. When you enjoy creating and feel that doing that “feeds your soul” then you have found your way. In short, my key is to do things that feed my soul.

How did you come in contact with the BakerySwap platform?

My true passion, apart from photography, is motion graphics. For this reason, I did a master’s in motion graphics where I met my partner and friend Muwasha. Who introduced me fully to the world of NFTs and cryptos. I will always be very grateful for everything he has taught me. So in short, I found Bakery thanks to Muwasha and Zen.

What is the next project you are working on?

I’m making a donut collection about Battle pets. Because I find those pets adorable and I wanted to create something very cute. I had never done anything kawaii and I wanted to experiment with it. It’s my first time doing something so cute and I really liked creating these NFTs it’s different for me.

What can you say to your fans out there?

Wow! The truth is that I don’t know if I have fans. I know there are people who support me a lot and who like what I do. I would tell them that I thank them very much for every gesture and word that they have with me. It means a lot that people support my art and it is very satisfying to know that they can enjoy it. They encourage me to continue creating and not give up. They give me the strength to fight for the dream that I had since I was little “ be an artist and make a living from it”.

That your work is your passion is one of the best things that can happen to you in life, right?
