Chiara Magni is an Italian professional painter who is famous for her bold and strong colors. She is the pioneer of a new painting style known as Bright Expressionism and over the years, she has sold over 300 paintings.

Thank you for joining us today. Please tell us about yourself.

Thank you for having me here today and for reaching out for this interview. My name is Chiara Magni, a professional Italian painter.

I’ve had collectors all over the world. In the past few years, I’ve sold over 300 paintings. I am known for my bold and strong colors. I only use oil paint as that allows me to add a lot of texture to my canvases. I am the pioneer of a new painting style that I have named “Bright Expressionism”

How did your journey into the NFT world start?

As an artist, I do believe that it is very important to reach and inspire as much as possible. I am always searching for the best way to get my artworks to collectors and fellow artists. I believe in the power of art and I want to help people experience that power. I think that NFTs are a perfect way to achieve all of the above and not only do you get to collect beautiful images from your favorite creators, you also invest.

Over the months, NFTs, also known as digital arts have become one of the hottest topics in the blockchain ecosystem. What is your opinion about the future of these digital arts?

Well, technology is a key part of our lives nowadays. I think that Art has the task of telling a story, explaining a specific historical moment or social event. Art does change a lot and does make progress like any other subject. I love the feeling of having an original painting, the feeling of installing an art piece on your wall, you can admire it, you can touch it, you can smell it. However, we don’t need to look at digital art with a different eye or thinking that it has less value because you cannot touch it. We need to realize that behind a digital piece, there is still a mind thinking about a specific composition and a specific message. Digital arts deserve the same acclamation as classic art, therefore NFTs deserve to be treated like actual art pieces.

How did you come in contact with the BakerySwap platform and what is your experience so far?

I’ve found an instant connection with BakerySwap which I don’t even know how to explain. Together with my team, we get in touch with the platform. Almost by magic, I became a featured artist and it has been an amazing ride ever since with over 100 NFTs sold!

What is the next project you are working on currently?

I have a lot going on. Some I can reveal and some I need to keep secret. Expect a new collection, books, limited edition prints, and a lot more. NFTs are for sure and absolutely part of my future projects.

What advice do you have for upcoming digital artists?

Like I tell any artist, do not think that you are just another fish in the sea. Yes, it is full of competitors, it is very saturated and it might need a lot of time to take off. You need to keep going, take baby steps and celebrate all of your successes. Do not think about failures and soon you will find yourself living your dream!
